La Cita Golf & Country Club is committed to providing an enjoyable, safe, and welcoming environment for all members, guests, and visitors.
All members and guests are expected to respect the golf course, club facilities, staff, fellow golfers, and the rules established by Club Management.
GOLF CART REGULATIONS
To protect course conditions and ensure the safety of all golfers, the following regulations must be observed at all times:
- Golf carts must remain on designated cart paths until reaching the point where access to the fairway is permitted.
- When permitted to leave the cart path, proceed directly to your ball and return to the path at the same angle when possible. Follow the 90-Degree Rule and Cart Path Only restrictions when they are in effect.
- All Par 3 holes are Cart Path Only. No exceptions.
- Golf carts must remain on designated paths around all greens and approach areas.
- Golf carts must remain well clear of all teeing grounds and at least 50 feet from the greens.
- Directional ropes, stakes, signs, and all traffic-control measures must be strictly observed.
- All posted signage, including “No Carts Beyond This Point,” must be followed.
- Golf carts are prohibited from entering or approaching:
- Newly established turf areas.
- Landscaped areas.
- Roped-off or protected areas.
- Neighboring properties.
- All roped-off areas must be respected and avoided at all times.
- A maximum of two persons per golf cart is permitted unless otherwise authorized by Management.
- Golf carts must be operated safely and responsibly. Reckless driving, unnecessary speeding, or any operation that endangers people or damages property is prohibited.
PACE OF PLAY & GOLFING ETIQUETTE
All players are expected to contribute to an enjoyable and timely round of golf.
- Maintain the pace of play and keep up with the group in front of you.
- If your group falls behind and there is a significant gap between your group and the group ahead, allow the following group to play through when it is safe and appropriate.
- Be ready to play when it is your turn, without unnecessarily delaying the group.
- Each player must play with and use their own golf bag and clubs.
- Show consideration for fellow golfers by avoiding unnecessary distractions and maintaining an appropriate pace throughout the round.
COURSE CARE & ETIQUETTE
Protecting the golf course is everyone’s responsibility. All members and guests are expected to leave the course in excellent condition for those who follow.
- Fill all divots using the sand provided on golf carts.
- Repair all ball marks on putting greens before leaving the green.
- Rake bunkers after use and leave them in proper playing condition.
- Avoid unnecessary damage to turf, cart paths, bunkers, and landscaping.
- Dispose of all trash in designated receptacles.
- Respect all course maintenance activities and follow instructions from Golf Operations staff.
- Treat fellow golfers, employees, and club property with respect and courtesy.
- Leave the course in better condition than you found it. If you see a divot, fill it in.
- Report on course conditions, damage, safety concerns, or other issues to the Pro Shop.
CLUBHOUSE CONDUCT
La Cita Golf & Country Club expects all members and guests to maintain a respectful and welcoming atmosphere throughout the clubhouse and all club facilities.
- Treat other members, guests, visitors and club employees with respect and courtesy.
- Access behind the Pro Shop counter and into staff work areas is prohibited.
- Loud, disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Loud music is not permitted in the clubhouse or other designated club areas.
- Excessive alcohol consumption and disruptive behavior is not permitted.
- Cell phone use should be kept to a reasonable minimum and must not disturb others.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted
- Members are responsible for the conduct and behavior of their guests while on club property.
- All members and guests must comply with reasonable instructions issued by Club Management and authorized staff
DRESS CODE
La Cita Golf & Country Club maintains a traditional golf attire policy to preserve the standards and atmosphere of the Club.
Acceptable Golf Attire
Men
- Collared golf shirts or mock-neck golf shirts.
- Golf slacks or tailored golf shorts.
- Golf shoes with soft spikes or approved athletic golf footwear.
Women
- Golf shirts, blouses, or golf-specific tops.
- Golf skirts, skorts, slacks, capris, or tailored shorts.
- Golf shoes or approved golf footwear.
Not Permitted
- T-shirts or tank tops.
- Cut-off shorts.
- Jeans or cargo shorts.
- Swimwear.
- Clothing displaying offensive language or graphics.
- Excessively torn or distressed clothing.
- Bare feet.
Members and guests are expected to comply with the dress code on the golf course, practice facilities, and in any designated golf areas.
Club Management reserves the right to address attire that does not meet the Club’s standards.
ACCESSIBILITY & SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
La Cita Golf & Country Club recognizes that accommodation may be necessary for members and guests with physical challenges or accessibility needs.
- Requests for reasonable accommodation should be coordinated in advance, whenever possible, through Golf Operations.
- Members and guests who require special golf cart accommodation due to a physical challenge may be provided with a blue flag to be displayed on their golf cart.
- The blue flag identifies the golf cart as an authorized accessibility cart and allows Golf Operations staff to recognize the cart when applying course and cart-traffic regulations.
- The blue flag does not exempt the golf cart or its occupants from safety requirements, posted restrictions, Cart Path Only areas, roped-off areas, or other course-protection measures unless specifically authorized by Golf Operations or Club Management.
- Blue flags are issued and managed by Golf Operations and must be returned when the cart is no longer being used for the authorized accommodation.
- All accommodations will be handled respectfully and with consideration for the individual’s privacy, safety, and needs.
COMPLIANCE & ENFORCEMENT
All members and guests are expected to comply with this Code of Conduct and follow the instructions of Club Management and authorized staff.
Club Management reserves the right to interpret and enforce these regulations in the interest of protecting the golf course, club property, and the experience of all members and guests.
