Club History
1982
La Cita Country Club’s legendary Ron Garl/Lee Trevino-designed, 18-hole golf course was built in 1982 by founding owner EKS Development. It provides 6,670 yards of challenges for golfers of all capabilities. Its manicured fairways and greens are complimented by small lakes and wooded areas that together paint a pastoral picture.
1985
The 24,000-square-foot, Mediterranean-inspired clubhouse was designed by architect David M. Putnam and completed in 1985 to include an on-site golf pro shop, fitness center, pool, banquet facilities, lounge and dining rooms. The tennis complex that followed is considered the best clay-court facility in Brevard County.
1985-2015
Ownership transitioned from EKS Development to Club Corp to Jim Musick.
2016
Present owner Vivian Dimond purchased La Cita Country Club in December 2016, engaged new management and began the work of returning the venerable club to its glory days. A Real Estate broker, investor and developer with personal passions for design, entertaining and gourmet cooking, Ms. Dimond has authored a renaissance that began with a new fleet of golf carts and restoration of the storied course. Enhancements to the clubhouse, tennis courts and dining venues followed.

Our Golf Director has restructured our memberships and daily rates setting the value of play far past our competitors. With a strict new turf management plan and new equipment, you will continue to see our improvements continue from the greens, all the way into our native areas. The tennis club’s 6 har- tru courts and two indoor racquetball courts have been beautifully maintained by our Tennis Director. He holds regular round robin tournaments, lessons, and clinics for all ages. Construction will soon begin, as we work on replacing the original fence to bring back the pristine condition of the whole facility. We also plan to hold Zumba and yoga classes in our racquet ball facility.
