Course Renovation Progress Update (August 10th)
Renovation work continues to move forward on schedule, with steady progress being made across the greens, fairways, and cart paths. Each area of the project is progressing through its respective grow-in and construction phase, and the overall renovation remains aligned with the established timeline for Oct 1st to have all tasks completed.
Greens:
The front nine greens are now eight weeks post-sprigging and continue to show encouraging progress. Coverage and turf density are improving steadily as the grass establishes, with the playing surfaces becoming more uniform and filling in across the greens. The additional grow-in time is allowing the turf to develop a stronger root system and healthier, more consistent playing surface.
The back nine greens 10,11, 12, 17, 18 are now five weeks and hole 13-16 two weeks post-sprigging and are progressing well through the early stages of grow-in. The focus at this stage remains on establishing strong roots, encouraging consistent coverage, and building turf density across each green. As the grass continues to mature, we expect continued improvement in both appearance and playing conditions.
Fairways:
The 5th and 6th fairways are now six weeks post-sprigging and continue to develop as expected. Turf establishment is progressing across the fairway surfaces, with continued growth and density expected over the coming weeks. As with the greens, allowing the new turf adequate time to establish will be important in developing a strong, consistent, and durable playing surface for the long term.
Cart Paths:
Cart path work continues across the property and remains on schedule. Crews will continue working through the remaining areas over the coming weeks, coordinating this work with the overall renovation schedule to keep each phase moving efficiently.
Members may notice significant changes in the appearance of the renovated areas from week to week. The grow-in process is dynamic, and the turf will continue to become denser, more uniform, and more established as it matures. While there is still work ahead, the progress to date has been encouraging.
Overall, the golf course renovation remains on pace with the established timeline, with each phase progressing as planned.
