Pre-Planning Considerations
- Take an early survey of participants noting ability, special needs, and other helpful information in assisting us in making your event run smoothly.
- Select a Tournament Contact who will work exclusively with the staff to ensure a great event.
- The Tournament Contact should be familiar with golf.
- Determine the number of players participating in the outing.
- Choose a date, rain date, and time for your outing.
- Determine if lunch or dinner will be included.
- If lunch is included, decide whether it will be served before or after the tournament.
- Check for conflicts with our maintenance schedule.
Planning the Golf Tournament
- Choose the type of tournament to be played.
- We suggest a "Captain's Choice" event because it does not require handicaps and normally every player can contribute to the success of their team regardless of skill level.
- Make sure you have confirmed your date and time as far in advance as possible.
- Sign and return the Tournament Contract.
- Decide how many places are to be paid and secure prizes.
- Arrange food and beverage needs with the Catering Director.

- Advise the Pro Shop of the final number of players.
- Communicate all course rules (i.e. soft spikes, dress code) to participants.
Scheduling and Time Considerations
- Depending on the size of your field, plan on four to five hours to complete the Tournament.
- FIVE DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT, YOU MUST GUARANTEE THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS TO THE PRO SHOP AND PROVIDE A LIST OF FOURSOMES TO ALLOW FOR ALL CART SIGNS AND SCOREBOARDS TO BE PROPERLY COMPLETED.
- On the day of the event, the individuals in charge of the registration MUST keep an accurate list of all changes to be made on the scoreboards.
